Not a chance oil will spike that high.

6. Before gas hits $50 a gallon..
the oil companies will have rolled out their new renewable energy product...to those who can afford it.

7. Yes
Armed revolution before it ever gets that severe. I think if gas hits $10 - $15 per gallon, life as we know it will cease. Economic devastation will ensue. All transportation of goods and services will cease except for the saving of lives, ...well, the saving of those lives who can afford it. Severe food rationing will make riots and complete chaos rule the day. We will instantly turn into a third world country. Rule of law? What law? Kill or be killed.

10. You might be right
But only because we'll all be paid in chickens and peanut shells. We'll use the then defunct dollar for toilet paper. Although the toilet paper custom didn't start until they put Boosh's face on the 1,000,000 bill

I r in ur internets. Brayking up yer futures.

13. Won't Happen
As the price increases, demand slackens. For example, at $10 or so a gallon I'd start to carpool, so would a lot of other people.

Decreasing demand will stabilize the price.

17. Very, Very Little
I calculated this earlier today - it has dropped by something like one-twentieth of a gallon per person per day.

everyone here would have thought $4/gallon was impossible.

15. Wrong
I wasn't expecting it but a three dollar increase over five years was possible.

A 45 dollar increase in 12 months isn't.

19. $50 a gallon?
Well that will be the end of heating my home (my heating system uses kerosene, which is made from petroleum). Brrrr it's gonna be cold up here in Maine!
