He's 76 years old. He was rushed to hospital around 8 or 9 this morning. No information yet but he's in a Cape Cod hospital with SYMPTOMS of a stroke. No article is up yet. http://www.cnn.com/

24. it was carotid surgery. my dad had a carotid artery occlusion and

he was not able to speak clearly after. it happened and deprived his broca's brain area on the left side. if that happened and there is damage, Teddy might have speaking problems. But this happened in 1985. I am hoping there has been improved treatment since.

Think about the safety and comfort you have in your life and know that Ted Kennedy was in the middle of getting it for you. God bless you, Teddy, and get better. Please.

Kennedy Hospitalized With Stroke Symptoms


BOSTON (WBZ) ― U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy was airlifted to a Boston hospital Saturday morning after suffering stroke-like symptoms at the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport.

He was first rushed to Cape Cod Hospital, and after being in the emergency room for two hours he was transported to Barnstable Airport and was then flown to Massachusetts General Hospital.

The 76-year-old senator's condition was unknown Saturday.

The emergency call first came in at 8:19 a.m. at the Kennedy compound at 50 Marchant Ave.

Last October, Kennedy under went surgery at Mass. General after a partially blocked artery was found in his neck. The blockage was in his left carotid artery, which supplies blood to the brain and face.

The surgery was successful and Kennedy returned to work later that month. ............
