KKKarl Rove dragging the GOP under water....shows no Honor nor Manliness
Edited on Fri May-23-08 03:29 AM by opihimoimoi
Hiding from a CONGRESSIONAL SUBPOENA under Bushies skirts is not good conduct...it is conduct of a guilty guy...and/or a wuss

His Lack of Respect, his demeanor does NOT bode well for the GOP....

Real Heros have Integrity, Charactor, Credibility, and Honor...

The GOP who once looked upon Rove as a hero have been disappointed no end...esp since his actions denigrates/smears the GOP to the point of having a Neg effect on Pub Candidates this Fall.

Many in the GOP wish the Turd would go away ...asap

He brimgs Dishonor and Shame to the GOP

Not an ethical bone in his entire body. I hope the Plame outing gets him some prison time someday.

8. No. He is an example of the very best the GOP has to offer...
...and when he is gone someone new will take his place.

The problem isn't the individuals, but the party itself.

"Real Heros have Integrity, Charactor, Credibility, and Honor..."
Real Heros may have Integrity, Charactor, Credibility, and Honor, but no republican does.

If the GOP is sincere about cleaning up their act, they will clean house, with no pardons.

11. I think the politically motivated attack on Iraq was as much Rove's
baby as it is Bush's...Karl needed a "WAR pResident" in 2004.

I think Karl was even behind the torture of the prisoners of war at Abu Ghraib and Gitmo, because his project Mr. Bush needed to find the missing WMDs ASAP, to salvage the then in trouble BushCo "War pResident" image.

I don't think McCain is any more honest than Bush or Rove either.

the dip-sh*t in chief's Kool-Aid too!

I'll bet it's tough on them guys to talk in "unknown tongues"(Political Mumbo-Jumbo)with those big long forked tongues, but their fearful leader Jr. can do it all day long 24/7...365, with half of
his smirk tied behind his back.

EDIT...Sometimes I get this strongish feeling, that there's a lot more sh*t floating around in Washington, than just those alleged turd$ that cling to "Dumplin'" Dave Vitter...

31. Well, we all know them Byshies are bitter about Vitter for causing damage by being diaper dirty.
But on another note: they used the GOP no end...like suckers almost. The Bushies damaged the GOP much more than Dave/Craig Combined. and if we look closer...I suspect they gave the GOP some bones and lip service and after that mostly did what the hell they wanted...the hell w the future and the hell with anyone besides their peeps.

These guys are cunning and vicious.

25. Manliness? Are you sure that's how you mean to put it?
You associate positive characteristics like integrity, character, credibility, and honor with manliness. Meanwhile, you use the word "skirt" as if it is disparagement, making it seem that, to you, being a women means all the opposite.

Maybe you want to rethink this particular way of expressing yourself, at least when you are on a progressive forum.

in this instance is protecting Rove, so that's a positive attribute.

On edit: the OP is implying that Rove is a scared little boy, I don't see any implied sexism.

29. On that literal detail you are correct but the overall sense of the post is where the problem lies.
The sentence that "skirt" is in is all full of derogation (after all, it is "Bushies skirts"):

Hiding from a CONGRESSIONAL SUBPOENA under Bushies skirts is not good conduct...it is conduct of a guilty guy...and/or a wuss

Also, there is the use of the term "wuss", short for "wussy", derived probably from wimp + pussy -- its meaning as I understand it is disparaging of women.

To me using "manliness" like this, given the historical context of male supremacy, is at best a very iffy proposition. Throw "wuss" in with it and I'm just suggesting that we could find a better way of expressing (and probably of thinking about) these ideas than to say that those approbations are the characteristics of "manliness". Why not just call it "honor" and make it clear that men and women can have this great attribute or, as the case with Rove, lack it.

the GOP. They're already just about as far down as you can go.

But he's got nothing. And I hope that Congress has the spine to actually follow through, not just with a lawsuit, but with jail time.

34. It Shows How Void The GOOP "Agenda" Really Was
Hiya Opi...

The old saying is you dance with the date you brought. Rove got them to the "promised land"...or so many GOOPers felt. Up until the 2006 elections, these goons felt they were the majority party and believed that the ends justifies the means...however you got power is all that mattered. It's the GOOP ethic of being self-centered...wrapped up with a cross, a flag pin and a swagger. They felt as long as they did all three, elections would fall in their laps and none of us would be the wiser. They still haven't realized what's happened...or are in a case of major denial.

Many GOOPers still hang onto the Rove memes and strawmen. I see few who actually renounce his methods...only to try to cover over the excesses and say "don't blame me"...but get them alone in their coven and the right wing memes are still very much alive and Rove is still their god.

He didn't bring dishonor and shame...that was already there. He only fine tuned it.

Cheers...here's hoping for a real Hawaiian Luau in November.

:hi:

36. Allen Raymond mentions the GOP mindset you suggest in his book
HOW TO RIG AN ELECTION.

It looks like these guys went overboard from day one and it took 7 years before the excesses accumulated to this current stage....it was inevitiable given the seriousness of the many transgression/violations of our code of conduct.

Come, we go prepare for mega LUAU
