Giuliani up 25 points over McCain: poll
http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews.aspx?type=politicsNews&storyid=2007-03-03T222450Z_01_N03453364_RTRUKOC_0_US-USA-REPUBLICANS-POLL.xml&src=rss&rpc=22

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican presidential hopeful Rudolph Giuliani, virtually tied with John McCain in a January poll, held a 25-point lead over the Arizona senator in a Newsweek magazine survey released on Saturday.

Among registered Republicans, 59 percent said they backed the former New York City mayor and 34 percent said they favored McCain, who announced on Wednesday he would seek the presidency in 2008, Newsweek said.

"Most registered Republicans are not familiar with Giuliani's positions on key social issues," the magazine said, listing his support for abortion rights and gun control as examples.

"When asked about whether Giuliani's views on these same issues would be enough to prevent them from supporting him, few registered Republican voters said it would," it said.

Giuliani was in a statistical dead heat with McCain in a January 24-25 poll, with 48 percent compared to McCain's 44 percent, the magazine said.

2. When the election of 08
happens all of America will see just what we have always said about the christian right wing of the republican party: Hypocrites ALL! Never understood how Rick ( man on dog sex ) Santorum who gave speech after speech on the Senate floor about partial birth, saw fit to go and campaign with candidates that thought health of the mother was important and would not vote to ban it.....

3. "Hate the sin but love the sinner".
That's what the christian right will say to overlook Giuliani's adultery etc.

5. I just think what this shows, this early out, is that Sep 2001 was a year and a half after the 2000
primaries.

6. The evangelic wingnuts are either incredible hypocrites,
or they are biding their time until a better candidate comes along. Rudy's personal life and liberal social stances should be enough to make their heads explode.

Divorced, alienated from his children and a very young looking, beautiful wife on his arm.

None of this should go down easy with the MORAL MAJORETTES.

I don't know much about him other than what I read here and see on the news.

I am assuming the stories "here" are true and I have seen the beauty he has married???

Could just be me, but she looks young, lovely and as if she could do much better.
He looks like her Dad.
