Poll question: In light of McClellan's book, when will Congress investigate real reasons for Iraq War?
What really chaps my ass is that the Democrats grew a testicle and called Bush's case for the Iraq War lies, but the other ball never dropped--the one where they investigate and publicly expose the real rationales, from the superficial like Bush doing it to build political capital to the corrupt like Cheney's Energy Task Force that met immediately after Bush came into office and divided up oil fields on a map of Iraq. It was later revealed that those fields had twice the reserves estimated earlier.

The oil in Iraq is worth tens of TRILLIONS of dollars, which makes the rebuilding and mercenary contracts look like stealing candy bars by comparison.

To his credit, Henry Waxman tried to investigate the Cheney Energy Task Force when the Democrats were in the minority, but he was stonewalled and didn't have the subpoena authority to knock it down. Now he has the authority, but has so far not gone for that jugular. When if ever will Congress do it?
