GOOD FOR YOU SCOTT MCCLELLAN!
Edited on Thu May-29-08 07:15 PM by rndmprsn
this is almost unbelievable and so surreal...he is throwing bushco waaay under the bus and seems genuinely disillusioned.

oh my god...get this man in congress and under oath!

4. He's painted Stupid as an idealist
who wanted peace and freedom and lollipops for all the kiddies and thought it would come from the barrel of a gun.

Uh, Scott, imperialism is imperialism. He might have fooled YOU, but he sure as hell hasn't fooled US.

29. Most mass murderers were idealists of one sort or another
Pol Pot wanted a Utopian social order that would occur after all the people who had been educated the wrong way were gone.

The Indian War generals just wanted everybody to live in peace and harmony in a wide open west and thought that would happen after the Indians who were causing trouble were gone.

Hitler wanted a stable and glorious German empire for his people, something he thought would naturally occur once he'd rid the master race of all undesirables.

I suppose Stupid is an idealist, too, but his idealism focused on the control of the Middle Eastern oil tap, something that would put this country in control of the industrialized world.

I just seriously doubt his idealism had anything to do with spreading freedom, not even at the barrel of a gun.

Or maybe he's a "realist?"

32. He's the kind who thinks all that GOP economic horseshit
will start to work if we do it long enough.

He's also the kind who thinks the US should rule the world and that the military is the way to make it happen.

36. McCain is an opportunist
And in my opinion, so is Bush. Bush is not an idealist. McClellan may have been an idealist -- and may have projected his own idealism on Bush, but Bush, like McCain, is an opportunist.

25. Maybe we'll see TONY SNOW get some courage and come out and spill some Bush beans also
Aahh,....maybe not. I have to say, regardless of whatever Scott McClellan's reason were for writing this book, I applaud his courage when he knew all too well that the republican attack machine would have mobilized to take him down once his book was released. I would like to see him before Congress under oath giving evidence.

15. what?
I'm not sure what you're implying. "Liberal co-worker",I live in an area dominated by conservative Republicans. A liberal co-worker is rare. That's the only reason I used that descriptive.

8. There are still political differences, and KO won't question him on
that (NCLB). This is good because he is keeping the subject on track with the Bush lies, propaganda, secretive govt, et, all the stuff that Bush should be impeached for.

I give SMcC credit for coming to this show and speaking openly. I think he may be one of the few real patriots in that organization. He seems to care more about the country than politics now.

35. Scottie, the worst liar of them all
i used to actually tune in for the Scottie show from time to time - Ari and Snow, not so much - they were so smooth and comfortable it was never interesting to watch. Scottie tried so hard, and did the press secretary gig so poorly...

i have to agree with his detractors on one thing - this is NOT the Scott McClellan i knew either. he looks comfortable in his own skin, for one thing. it was kind of funny watching him on KO tonight. i don't think he is as removed from the DC bubble as he thinks yet - for a lot of the questions there was a second where it seemed he was searching for the talking point, or the "...ongoing investigation..." response, but then had a mental slap-the-forehead and just answered as best and (zOMG!) honestly as he can.

i'm going to buy his book, tho i probably won't read it. i don't think i could stand any "bush the idealist" rhetoric. :puke:

i'm glad ol' Scottie has decided to come clean(ish). there was something sincere about him in the interview that i had never seen before. and i thought it was a total hoot that he is considering Obama!
