2. Only if Scotty says there is a cancer on the presidency...
or something similar. He's unwilling to go that far. I like Scotty, but he doesn't go far enough in criticizing them, IMO.

15. How much do you think a mere Press Agent knows about anything?
Only what he is told whereas Dean was their Lawyer and knew all the inner workings..

3. Having watched the Watergate hearings as a kid....
And I was addicted... My family went to Florida and spent a week at Daytona Beach and I would hang out on the balcony and watch the hearings on a b&w TV I'd drag out...

This SMELLS so much more putrid.............

Worst. Humans. Ever.

6. There's a BIG DIFFERENCE! Dean was the WH lawyer, and
was in a position to KNOW EVERYTHING! It's fairly common knowlege that the Press guy is deliberately kept in the dark about everything but the things the WH wants him/her to know. I'm not saying he's wrong. Just being there every day, anyone would get the feel for what's going on, who's in charge, and who you can trust and who you can't. But Scotty's testimony wouldn't have near the clout that Dean's did!

7. Bull Fucking Shit
Edited on Thu May-29-08 10:01 PM by Richardo
John Dean revealed the Nixon/Watergate cancer WHILE HE WAS STILL IN THE WHITE HOUSE. He TESTIFIED under OATH against the most powerful people in the free world. He followed his conscience when it made a difference and at great personal sacrifice.

Scott McClellan is a political hack weasel who tattled like a school kid from the safety of the principal's office, after the vandals got away. He's not fit to lick the bottom of John Dean's shoes.

For Christ's sake.

8. THANK YOU.

Nothing that little fucking lickspittle can say in any god damn book can wash any blood off of anyone's hands, his own least of all. John Dean was and is a great man. Scotty is the flopsweating pissant who parroted obvious lies for a known liar. To draw an equivalence is deluded or ill-informed at best, terrifyingly stupid at worst.

10. Has He Testified Under Oath Yet?
When he does, then we'll start the Dean comparisons. Also, Dean was like Rove turning...he was on the inside of the planning of Nixon's crimes, McClellan was just a mouthpiece. Also, he's held his story back for two years and only came forward when he was paid to do so...he sure didn't volunteer to testify.

I give the guy credit for coming clean, but he's no John Dean...more like a Plubmer.

12. My Dear Fellow Piston Fan, I'm afraid that you're misguided
Dean's a lawyer. His objection to Nixon administration was based on the fact that it violated the law. That's always been his assertion. The very same objections that he's made against the Bush administration.

And Dean has been quite unequivocal in his stance.

McClelland, even at this point, is kissing and defending the Bushites. He talks about how the political atmosphere in Washington is blame vs. the Bush administration's patent crimes and deception.

Scotty is not even fit to shine Dean's shoes.
