There is a very good reason, walking out then, would not have had ANY EFFECT. Anyone who had previously done so, was easily dismissed by the bush administration, and their lapdogs, the media

However, McClellan bringing it up now during an election is the most powerful way he could have an effect on the consequences of that election

We have a candidate who wants to continue the bush administrations policies. By releasing this book now, there should be no doubt that we have been fed lies by this administration, and by the candidate who is running as a continuation of this administration
