The Real Jeff Peckman Alien Video - Enhanced Version
I came across this YouTube video after reading yesterday that an announcement would be made today by Jeff Peckman about releasing the alien video but was canceled.

3. Well, **I'm** convinced!
I mean, what could be more convincing than a refugee from the cast of "Close Encounters" playing peeping tom?

11. The video is inconclusive. It is either real or fake, and it's difficult to tell.

Given today's movie technology, it is difficult to distinguish between an authentic and a fraud. You need a body, unfortunately. A body would prove beyond a reasonable doubt if passed around the scientific community and the world. It's either that, or we wait until a flying disc crashes, or we shoot one down and grab their technology and display their bodies.

12. I agree with you. This footage is inconclusive but my understanding is that there is more video
footage than shown on this YouTube video. Hopefully, more info will be made available to the public.

13. Probably wait a long time...
Seriously, pick a busy major freeway anywhere, mark out a small space (say a couple dozen meters) and wait for an auto to break down and come to a stop in your defined space. Despite 19th century technology, you're not very likely to have a car "crash" or breakdown in that small arbitrary section of road. The earth is a much tinier section of the universe. Not to mention that the technology required to travel interstellar distances is well beyond the automobile.

I can't/won't argue that ETs don't exist. I even believe in UFOs, I just can't jump to the conclusion that the UFOs are alien crafts, they are simply unidentified. Seriously, the logic is that they fly here, but don't want to be noticed (weird in itself) but OK, if I buy that, I then have to believe that they don't have the technology to observe us without being noticed? Ironically, the "huge" number of supposed sightings that are often cited as "proof" that something must be happening actually means that these aliens must be incredibly, unbelievably incompetent.

15. I don't think that they care if they are noticed much at all
I've seen UFOs on a few occasions. The first time three military aircraft were sent after the UFO. It dodged them for a while then shot straight up into the sky and disappeared. The second one was huge and hovering over an empty parking lot at night in a very populated area. It stayed there for quite a long time until a group of African American teens ran toward it, yelling and pointing-then it, too, shot straight up and disappeared.

The third time happened while I was walking around the lake at my apartment complex for a little fresh air and exercise. It was a perfectly clear night. I felt two very hard, solid taps in the top of my head. It felt like two huge raindrops, so I looked up. Three oval craft were directly over me but very high up. They were in a straight line, then they formed a perfect triangle, then another line, they they flew around one another wildly, like minnows disturbed in a pond, they formed another line the shot over the horizon together. I did feel like they were trying to communicate something, but it was gibberish to me. If they didn't want to be detected then they wouldn't have tapped me so hard on the top of the head (and I CANNOT tell you how much that creeped me out. It still makes my stomach twist). I don't know who they are or where they are from, and I actually don't spend much of any time worrying about it. I look at it this way; humankind thought it knew EVERYTHING there was to know 1,000 years ago, 500 years ago, and 100 years ago-but we always discover later that we didn't know much at all. That's still the case today. Maybe someday we'll know why these things have been coming here for over a thousand years (there are plenty of UFO sighting recorded in art and literature from almost every period), maybe we won't exist that long. Who knows?

16. Good points
That is a reasonable 2nd option (much better than bumbling interstellar idiots) but it does beg the question why they allow themselves to be seen, but don't examine us fully. In other words, why not communicate with us if they don't care if we know they are here? Of course, maybe they have no curiosity, are telepathic, or some other explanation, but those all have logical hurdles of their own (if they don't care about us and have no curiosity, why bother coming here for instance). Like I said, I agree with you that there is much we don't know and UFOs are a fact. I just think there are tons of more likely explanations than aliens given the evidence we have. My pet theory is advanced military research. I also find time travel a more likely scenario than the shy/aloof alien.

Of course, we don't know and anyone that claims "proof" based on probabilities is reckless.

17. Based upon my own brief experience, I'd say that they can

communicate telepathically (no telling if it's done with their minds or with a machine of some sort), but I'd liken it to trying to describe string theory to an infant(the infants being we humans). We never have learned how to directly communicate in another species "language" (and it's thought that animals like whales and dolphins have language), so I don't know how easy it would be for a non-terrestrial species to communicate clearly with us. All I got out of what followed that head tap was a non-english "hello there" and a bunch of incomprehensible geometries and other gibberish that went by too quickly for me to have any strong memories of it. My only other impression was that whoever was in those three craft had a collective consciousness and they weren't in a very serious mindset at that moment. Not that they were being silly or playful, but almost as if they were "off the clock" in some fashion. I know it all sounds absurd. I used to be a confirmed skeptic but I can't get away with those beliefs any more.

I don't think that they have anything to do with our military. The aircraft fly in a way that seems to defy the laws of physics; they go from a silent, dead stop and head horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, come to an instant dead stop and then completely change course. They SHOULD be breaking the sound barrier an the speeds that they attain, but they don't. My theory is that they are "bending" space somehow. So they may come from very far away and are able to "fold" space to arrive here quickly, or they may be extra dimensional, or, as you mention, from another time. It would be great if they would just land in Times Square and put all the speculation to rest. That would REALLY shake up the Fundies! Plus it would make the millions of us who have seen them feel a lot less embarrassed about our experiences. Maybe they have a prime directive though, who knows? These people saw a UFO recently too: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7426794.stm but we don't have plans to contact them.

18. I think a fair number of sightings of flying discs are probably gov't craft being tested.
What technology they are utilizing on those craft is likely beyond anything in the commercial sector, but it's likely they are test platforms for some radically different propulsion system given that some of these craft can reportedly pull 90 degree turns and more according to eyewitness accounts. If it isn't flying discs, it's usually flying triangles.

Of all the UFO sightings, like 99 percent are easily explained either as earthquake lights, secret aircraft being tested, or even regular aircraft being misidentified, but the other 1 percent belongs in the "other" bin.

If they are craft from another star system, they must've found some way to travel space with ease. Perhaps star hopping to them is akin to using railroads and highways for humans. If that were true, humans would present little more than a curiosity to them, like ants in an ant farm.

14. Similar to the "Alien interview" alien, but at least that one
blinks (the alien interview creature is said to be wearing a type of contact lens):
