Brookfield teens arrested after rope game causes accident
wtnh.com

Brookfield (AP) -- Brookfield police say two teenagers have been arrested after their imaginary tug-of-war game led to a real rear end collision.

Police say the incident involved the "invisible rope game," a prank that involves two people standing on opposite sides of a street.

As a vehicle approaches the two get into a tug-of-war stance, pretending to hold a rope taut across the path of the vehicle. Cars slow down and the pranksters drop the imaginary rope and run away.

But police say that earlier this week a car driven by a Brookfield resident stopped short to avoid the imagined rope on Tower Road and was rear-ended by another car, sending two people to the emergency room.

3. I wonder if
the driver that rear ended the car that stopped got a ticket. Should have gotten one for following to close or failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

5. I hafta wonder what the teens were popped for?
The fault lies w/ the driver who rear ended the other. Like I said to the judge in Atlanta years back when I was in front of her for a *following too close* beef. and she asked how I was pleading. I said,"Well your honor, I hit the son of gun so I think it's fairly safe to say I'm guilty of being of too close." I think I got a lesser fine than usual for making the judge laugh.
