How are republicans you know loving this recession and high gas prices?
I'm talking about the ones who have autographed pictures in their offices, the "Bush can do no wrong even when he's wrong" types.

I ran into some ex-coworkers at lunch today who work for such a person. Work is slow for them, they're not getting many hours, they have to pay for almost all of their health insurance now and as every good republican boss does since he can't outsource people he needs locally, he's cut each person's wages by $1.50 an hour because he knows they can't find work elsewhere or it would be very difficult.

All this while he and his trophy wife are building themselves a house three times the size of the house where they raised their kids who are now grown and gone.

The crew said he's nice enough to get them to do work on it from time to time :sarcasm:

1. One of my Republican friends
voted for Kerry in 2004.

The more hard-core one dislikes McCain as much as he dislikes the Dems. Lately, his e-mails have hateful pictures of McCain as well as Hillary C and Obama.

7. I knew one republican who voted for Kerry
The war and having a son in the Marines did it for her.

3. One I know (an in-law's relative) can't afford diesel for his truck, shipments are down,
and he doesn't have health insurance, needs his fucking teeth fixed, is behind on his mortgage, his kids are unemployed and can't find a job and he has a fucking Bush sticker on his stupid truck. Plus his wife just got laid off.

4. It's weird. They act like they had nothing to do with the mess we're all in
now. Totally oblivious. Even talk about how screwed up everything is. And talk about how they want this bunch gone, but they don't know yet who they're gonna vote for (which is a crock).

NOTE: I don't run into many republicans except at work (and they're hard core repubs).

6. The same here
Before I worked for myself I suffered for ten years of listening to Rush Limbaugh or Neal Boortz blasting from everyone's desk.

5. bush cheney sticker
Used to be lots of them here but since 2005 or so they have all vanished. Apparently no one here (repuke hell) ever heard of bush or cheney. Reminds me of the germans after the war "Hitler who...? Nazis? whats that? I dont know a thing i was in the toilet since 1939 and so on

8. I still see more of them here in FL than all the others combined
I haven't even seen one McCain bumper sticker yet but I see a Bush/Cheney one everyday. Not only that, I see them on pick-ups and SUVSs newer than '04 or even '06. Now tell me there's not something f**ked up with that.

9. nothing wrong with that
they can blame the dems for the high price of gas while sincerely wishing they had never voted for the current assholes. And hey they still drive their suv's; dont expect much brains for them.
