"Bobby."
I finally got around to watching the movie "Bobby" last night. I thought it was extraordinary. An amazing snapshot of a time and place, with frightening parallels to today. It was dismissed by the critics, and ignored by the Academy, but I highly recommend it. I can't imagine any Democrat not being fascinated and deeply moved by it.

1. Oh, I almost watched that too last night.
Watched the first couple of minutes and got too depressed and had to put on something lighter (Juno). Maybe tonight I can deal with it.

2. Bobby we hardly knew you....I still mourned for him...
my youth was wedded to his time and place. Perhaps that is what draws me to Obama a chance to relive the time, moment and intelligence on issues of the time.

3. I saw this movie too, and couldn't find the right discription, but
you just nailed it- "frightening parallels to today".

4. Yes, and the movie was written before the Obama
phenomenon really started. How amazing that Emilio Estevez was so prescient. It is almost shockng to realize how little this country has really changed in that time.

5. It is a great movie. I wish they would teach history like this.
It so much more interesting to see how such momentous events affect everyday people in their every day lives.
