8. well they are replaying his funeral yet again on MSNBC as we speak
and they had more than 24 hours of continous coverage after he died. It was just nutty. I guarantee you President Carter won't get that kind of coverage when he passes.
17. It was aired on MSNBC per the family's request...
They wanted to share the service with those who admired Russert via a venue they felt to be an appropriate way to salute his TV career. NBC agreed to their request.
on KO (Keith Olberman) OR russert's funeral (I heard thru the 'innertubes' that it was going to be a "nationally broadcast 'private' affair ~ still trying to figure THAT one out  ).....

or makes me feel :scared:
whoa.
Since you tell me "I'm clueless"....I'll buy a clue for $100.

Please tell me/clue me in on 'what made it so beautiful' for you (or why I should feel the 'beauty'?).....heh, he was just another MSM foot-soldier to me.
14. You could really tell how much Tim Russert was loved by his colleagues from KO's presentation
I have had my issues with Russert during his career, but that is over now that he is dead. He was genuinely loved by an awful lot of people, and that speaks volumes about this man whom none of us at DU ever knew personally.
We should all hope to live our lives so well that others will pour out this kind of affection for us when we pass on.
One of the saddest things of all that has happened to DU is the way that so many of us have taken a page from the right-wingers by demonizing public figures with whom we disagree. Those who do so too often will end up becoming what they hate.
