I wonder what the real numbers are--I mean, this thing started, supposedly, in april, and we just got around to hearing about it last week?

3. I think Colorado was one of the earliest states
I had a couple of plum tomatoes and tossed them. I think we're supposed to be able to use the little tomatoes, though. I'll have to check but the store was selling them.

Good luck!

5. i wasn't even aware of this until 10 days ago, and never saw which states were involved. (2 from
here, apparently) only way I found out was stopping in at a wendy's to get the 2-for-1 coupons for the renaissance festival, and they had a little hand-written sign. talked to my produce manager the next day --they had received word to pull the tomatoes, but no other info--she said she watched the news for two days before anything showed up.

apparently, grape, cherry, cherub, vine-ripened, etc, are okay. I have some camparis, they are okay. but then, who knows??? ]

there was a poll on cafferty file last night, "does the fda know the source and just isn't telling us?" duhhhhh.

unfortunately, even though our farmers' markets are now open, the local tomatoes won't be in for a couple of months.
