Feingold for VP??
I haven't seen his name mentioned in the possibilities? Isn't his judgment and progressive attitude what we really need for a VP position? Just a thought.

2. Uh. Agnew. Quayle. Bush I for that matter.
What are you talking about?

The main problem would be that he's a midwesterner from a neighboring state. (Not that that stopped Clinton/Gore.)

3. I don't think so - I vote in Wisconsin and
while I admire many of his positions -- he is not ready for the national scene beyond being Senator.

He is a twice divorced Jew, which should not matter -- but it would.

Plus he has often staked out the most liberal territory, which grates against the GE impulse to go centrist when given the opportunity (even though Dumbya lied about being a uniter and "appeared" centrist) Russ cannot and will not appear "Centrist" - which we may adore, but will not help towards the all essential win in November.

8. "not ready for the national scene beyond being Senator"
!!! He's been in the Senate far longer than either Clinton or Obama, for 16 years. He has served on important committees and has extensive foreign policy experience. He is not only ready, he's one of the most qualified Senators.

4. VP? How about president?
At least he voted progressive on the FISA bill which is more than can be said of any of the others under consideration, including our nominee.

6. He brings experience and a more solid record
For one thing, he actually has a record. It's a record that might hurt him with Conservatives and some Moderates, but I know I'd feel better with Fiengold backing Obama up.

7. Obama needs somebody more middle of the road and with national security experience.
Besides, Feingold would never fly after his criticism today about Obama opting out of the federal campaign funds. Although that would make a good ad for the Republicans to run over and over.
