History being rewritten from now on................. .......................
"So it is in politics and government. Al Gore's loss to George W. Bush gnaws at Democrats because he came so close – a few hundred more votes in Florida or a couple thousand in New Hampshire and history would be different."

A Few Less Republican Operatives Pounding On Windows To Stop The Vote Count OR A Few More Supreme Court Justices Not Selling Out The Future AND HISTORY WOULD BE DIFFERENT.

"Al Gore's loss to George W. Bush gnaws at Democrats" BECAUSE HE DIDN'T LOSE.

Who are these people and why do they get paid to be :freak:?

David S. Broder: 'Third choice' Kennedy has immense influence
By David S. Broder -
Published 12:00 am PDT Monday, July 7, 2008

The most dramatic stories in any field of competitive endeavor are those that recount events that almost never happened.

It's the scoreless games that end with a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth that linger in the psyches of winners and losers – not the 9-3 walkovers.

So it is in politics and government. Al Gore's loss to George W. Bush gnaws at Democrats because he came so close – a few hundred more votes in Florida or a couple thousand in New Hampshire and history would be different.

1. K&R Thank you. My blood was boiling when I read that quote ...
... and then I quicky saw you spoke truth to bullshit: Gore did not lose the 2000 election.

A few more votes here and there for Gore would have been conveniently zapped.

In the dead of night, a little voice is whispering my ear that no matter what Obama does, McCain could be installed through election fraud. They're even better at it now than in 2000, and they might not have to get the Supreme Court to join in their conspiracy this time around.

A lot of Democrats don't get it that AL GORE DIDN'T LOSE IN 2000!!!

You wanna earn your stripes as a nutcase? You just say that Gore won in 2000, and that the Religious Right has its tentacles in every corner of our government, including our military, and is pulling strings behind the curtain -- maybe even Obama's strings.

For those with eyes to see, the string-pulling is right out in the open.

Cheers!

2. It's David Broder
He's paid to prop up the establishment with reasonable-sounding, if inaccurate rhetoric.
