Good, gods, what is wrong with some people?

An emergency room physician faces felony assault with a deadly weapon charges after he allegedly – intentionally – caused a collision with two bicyclists in Mandeville Canyon in Pacific Palisades July 4.

Dr. Christopher Thompson, 58, posted $30,000 bail shortly after his arrest at the scene of the crash and is due in court next month, according to booking records.

“It had to be road rage,” said trainer Ron Peterson, who said he and a friend, Christian Stoehr, were cycling down the canyon when a red Infiniti sped past them and the driver yelled something

(snip)

Then, Peterson said the driver pulled in front of them, slammed on his brakes, and with no time to stop, he and Stoehr hit the car at almost 30 miles per hour.

The guy was an ER Doctor of all people. Can they pull his license to practice medicine for this asshattery?

1. Though I can't wait for the next opportunity to clothesline a cyclist on a sidewalk....
I nevertheless mostly agree with you.

4. Pull his medical license?
Hell, his hospital will probably give him a raise for finding a new way to solicit patients.

5. Can they pull his license?
Having grown up around the medical profession, I can assure you that about 98% of doctors are assholes on a similarly grand scale. Finding the ones who AREN'T spoiled, insane brats is tough.

And given the fact that many of them abuse the very drugs they prescribe....

Let's just say this fella will have a lot of friends in high places.

6. I likewise grew up around the medical profession and have a different opinion
Most doctors I've known are arrogant and conceited, but genuinely do care about people.

You might be shocked to know that the AMA supports socialised medicine. How many industries support what will likely massively cut their pay just because it's the right thing to do?

Yeah I can't name any others either.

This guy just had a mental break or was always a psycho.
