I saw Scott Ritter tonight.

He spoke up here in NH at Keene State College. I had never heard him speak but had heard a lot about him from Will Pitt who included an interview with him in his first book. Ritter was on NHPR this morning and almost put me to sleep with his explanations of the various levels of purity of uranium. I warned my friends that he would probably be as dry as dust tonight. Well, I'm still shaking. He took a hand mike and strode back and forth across the stage and blew the place away. He talked about how we as Americans have abdicated our responsibility to seek the truth and not have someone's version of the truth fed to us in five minute sound bites. He dissected the Iran bullshit being fed by the Bush administration to "we the people".

He asked the audience to be honest and answer the question "how many of you have read the Consitiution of the United States". Only half of this "well educated" audience had...only half. He asked how we would know how many rights we had lost to "homeland security" if we didn't know how many rights we had.

He said that we could go on the IAEA website and see exactly what kind of a non-threat Iran was. He said that most of the information we needed to know the truth was at our fingertips.

He said, in answer to someone who said "how can we attack Iran, we don't have the troops" that, in fact, we do have the troops....

He said that if we took the time to read the public record (the IAEA material) we would learn that Iran indigenous uranium ("dirt" he calls it) is contaminated and cannot be successfully used to produce weapon-grade material.

I'm an activist...I consider myself pretty well informed...I've read the Constitution...I felt tonight like someone had hit me in the head with a baseball bat.

There is so much more to do.

13. Just finished reading "Target Iran"....excellent book....but don't read it if you want to be able to

sleep at night....I have literally had a hard time sleeping lately....

The book is not an easy read....its chuck full of really important information and background to a very complex subject and region with lots of historical data and lots of players....

I consider Scott Ritter a hero....a real patriot....

Scott Ritter is powerful. I'm glad you got to see him.

Sure the information is at our fingertips. But that's not how Americans work. We've learned to be fed. If we had a dose of Scott, even a small dose, there would be rioting in the streets.

I was shocked to see msnbc after the Libby conviction. "Will Libby be Pardoned?" When will Libby be pardoned. Will he be pardoned. Will he be pardoned? Not a single mention of anything other than surface.

Scott has been yelling from the rooftops. The rooftops that we have. Democracy Now. Let's see...there must be one or two other outlets operating out of coffee cans.

Yesterday I got an email from Linktv. They came up twenty thou short of their $300k goal in their latest two or three week pledge drive. All I could think of was how that would be one morning's worth of cgi graphics for Fox Noise.

Sorry. I had to get it out of my system. Scott Ritter is sharp. He gets my blood flowing. He has his facts all lined up.

I saw him before the Iraq war and he is absolutely topnotch. I LOVE a man with intellect, integrity and passion, and he has all 3.
