Second (Citizens) Arrest Attempt On Karl Rove In Iowa Leads To 4 Arrests
Four Iowans were arrested today while attempting to make a Citizens' Arrest of Karl Rove in Des Moines, Iowa. Citing Iowa Code provisions for making Citizen's Arrests as well as citing Federal Statute violations they claimed Rove had violated, the four were stopped at the gate of the Wakonda Country Club in Des Moines where Rove was scheduled to speak at a Republican Fundraiser.

The four arrested were retired Methodist minister and Peace and Justice Advocate, Rev. Chet Guinn, 80, as well as three Des Moines Catholic Workers, Edward Bloomer, 61, Kirk Brown, 25, and Mona Shaw, 57. All four were cited for trespassing and released.

The four maintained that they were acting within the guidelines of Iowa Code that obligate private citizens to make such an arrest if they believe a felony has been committed and turn Rove over to police officials to bring Rove before a judge for formal indictment. By law, a federal judge should consider the charges and determine if an indictment should be made.

Brown and Shaw made a similar attempt last March when Rove spoke at the University of Iowa, Iowa City. Brown and Shaw were arrested and released without charges following that attempt. Deaths in the Middle East since the March attempt number in the thousands including, 151 more US troops have been killed in Iraq, and 284 killed in Afghanistan as well as far more citizens of those two nations.

Rove remains unindicted and recently refused to cooperate with a Congressional subpoena in the Valerie Plame leak investigation. Despite mounting evidence of Rove's wrongdoing concerning leading the U.S. to war as well as other actions, Congress and the U.S. judicial system remain reluctant to bring charges against either Rove or the Bush administration. Recent evidence includes Articles of Impeachment that will again be presented by Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich tomorrow. Vincent Bugliosi's new book "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder" carefully lays out a case against Bush and his administration for war crimes and felony murder. Bugliosi was prosecutor for the Charles Manson Family murders and author of the book "Helter Skelter," which dealt with that crime.

79. As told the other poster, he was in Kansas City friday. What is he doing and if he is raising money
for the republicans or McCain, how is he or what is his involvement with all this. I thought as a Fox employee, he couldn't be involved in fund raising. Does anyone know?

...to a fund that would put an International Bounty on the heads of the main War Criminals of the Bush Administration. The bounty would be awarded to the first citizen of ANY country to successfully arrest any of the Bush War Criminals.

If advertized Internationally, this fund would quickly grow to $MILLIONS$.
That would be enough to influence a state, county, or even a small country.

People really need to go read this document in it's entirety and become familiar with it...some of the grievances against the King of England, that caused the colonies to break away....sound quite familiar..and even pertinent to what's going on today...

This is an important DOT to connect!
Based on the rejection of me, for an AP ipsos poll via random call, the day before supertuesday: BECAUSE I WAS OVER 65 years old,
3 of these 4 PATRIOTS, opinion was REJECTED by AP ipsos, ALL 3 over 65!
We need to SPREAD THE WORD, that the polls are MANIPULATED. NOT TRULY REPRESENTATIVE!
The Oldest BOOMER IS ONLY 62 years old! They ( polls) are eliminating the opinion of, the entire population who grew up DURING WWII with rationing, the satisfaction of "winning" a GOOD war, against evil forces...............that was MUCH MORE LIBERAL than todays cross section,
in a country that pulled TOGETHER,and even with the pain and tragic loss of a war, had the dignity, liesure time, and sufficiency for EVERYBODY, to behave like courteous, enlightened, civil human beings!
We were tragically unaware of the EVIL ONES lurking, those who tried to eliminate Pres. FDR, and who succeeded in eliminating JFK!

Apply what we know today to that time.................
My formative first 6 years were short on sugar, & sweets, it being rationed during the war. I developed a taste for salty/ malty ( pretzels)
snacks. At the end of the war.......the entire country indulged in a sugar rush, lining the pockets of Uncle Herbie Walker, who owned a sugar plantation in Cuba! Until Castro seized it and nationalized it! OF course we HATE CASTRO! It's not so much that he's a communist, as. ..We're still trying to get even! Given the Bush family's involvement in Government, GHWB, 1976 CIA, 1980-88 VP, 1989-92 President, 2001-08 W pRes.
this had=s frormed our Foreign Policy towards CUba.
Meanwhile if you've ever had a kid who ate too much candy.......you are familiar with the sugar rush syndrome!
The parents of the late 40's were just so damned glad to be alive, to have won the war, were far more indulgent of their kids than many other times in history........They also had the benefit of GI housing and education bills, that gave them an edge and a little more to pass on to the kids. Whereas OUR Fathers had weathered the depression, paid for their own houses and college educations if they had one.
I have a theory that the Boomers were mass traumatized by the assignation of JFK. They were in adolescence......critical years, just making the connection with society at large beyond their families; as opposed to me an adult better able to process tragedy, or my kids who were too young to be impacted as strongly, ( their immediate world was still intact)
This combined with the futile attempt at social change, against the evil ones, I believe is responsible for the wholesale defection to self
greed & materialism.
PLEASE DON'T BE OFFENDED BY MY THEORY IF IT DOESN'T FIT YOU!thank God not everybody in a demigraphic slice FITS THE PROFILE!

If cops detain somebody, they'd better make sure the offense is serious enough to make the charges stick.

Otherwise, it's a form of harassment and intimidation.
