Spending time with the Kucinich's
The Kucinich's are staying with us til tomorrow. We picked them up at the airport last friday night and since I had to work that day I was unable to watch the impeachment hearings. We weren't in the car 5 minutes when I turned around to ask Dennis, 'SO tell me, how did today go?' Smiling he said he thought it went very well. Elizabeth piped up and said, what do you mean it went well, I thought it was great. Dennis continued to elaborate more on the days proceedings.

Now mind you I've known Elizabeth for a while already as she stays with us fairly regularly but this was the first time I've met my Superhero Dennis:loveya:

Last Saturday there was a fundraiser in Los Angeles for his re-election campaign in Ohio. Dennis spoke to restoring the Constitution. Originally I wasn't going (due to lack of $$) but my boyfriend, bless his heart, paid for the donation/tickets. I would guess there were 250 - 300 people in attendance. Among the attendees was, Mark Victor Hansen of Chicken Soup for the Soul fame, Jodie Evans of Code Pink (LOVE HER). Gore Vidal and Jack Nicholson were no shows but Warren Beatty made it. Being the shy person I am, lol, I walked up to Mr. Beatty, introduced myself shook his hand and gave him a big hug:hug: Actor Esai Morales, (((gorgeous:P ))) did I say that out loud:evilgrin: and many others.

I can't tell you how surreal it is these last few days to just be casually sitting around with Dennis Kucinich and chatting with him... and cooking for him too. He is the warmest, kindest, funniest (oh god he has some funny stories), most unassuming, truly interested in YOU.. yes all of YOU = us, most wonderful human being I've had the pleasure of meeting. Dennis is without a doubt the bravest person I have ever met.

This pic is from Saturday that's me in the middle and on the left is actress and good friend, Mariana Tosca and on the right obviously the phenomenally beautiful Elizabeth Kucinich.

Well... it's time to go hang with the Kucinich's. Talk to y'all later.

16. It will be my pleasure Breeze
I'll give him a hug for you too.

At least twice a day I get a hug from Dennis and Elizabeth. I can't describe how amazing that feels. A hug good morning, a hug good night, a hug after meals. I'm tellin' ya I am in freaking heaven. They are both most gracious guests.

And thank you for the compliment:loveya:

5. Three beautiful ladies I see
on the outside as well as the inside. I was able to see the Kucinichs briefly when they visited my town during the campaign and bathe in the glow of their auras. I wasn't able to talk to them though as you have been so fortunate to be able to.

8. Let him know I need to work for him...
Seriously, I have IT skills (among others) and I need to do something proactive to bring the fascist machine to heel while earning a living.

The hearing (I took Friday off to watch) drove me up a wall, I'm glad I was home alone screaming at people on the screen, especially the prick of a ranking member bitching about the I word.

-Hoot

Oh, yeah, let him know if he wants a break while he's in DC I'm just up the road and make great chili or BBQ.

And watching him work, my my my.... Oh yea he's not just sitting around relaxing doing nothing, the man works from the time he gets up to the time he goes to bed. Well with small breaks in between but still, he's always going.

31. Well the Kucinich's are leaving in the morning
Darn it :-( But ya know aside from the day my son was born spending major quality time with my Superhero is certainly on the books as the second greatest thing I've experienced in my life. Especially in these times.

I passed along the many messages from you all to him and he most humbly wishes for me to pass along the sincerest of thanks to you and with his deepest heartfelt gratitude thanks you all for your support, and for believing in him and in yourselves and in this great country of ours that he and we love so dearly.

Tonight before he went to bed he gave me one last hug and a kiss on the cheek, thanked me for all that I had done for them during their stay and is very much looking forward to coming back and staying with us soon. Of course I thanked him NUMEROUS times for all that he's done and is doing for us and that I don't care what anyone else says, "I AM your biggest fan!"

And an FYI = HEADSUP..there should be a new (impeachment) petition out in the morning sometime that he put together today that is going to have a wednesday night (30th) deadline on it so we need to get that out and around and get as many signatures as we can by Wed midnight. Be on the look out for it.

34. Sorry to have missed your thread
I was back east for a family gathering earlier this week (in Ohio of all places), so I missed your thread; otherwise I would have wanted to post on it. I just got back (to San Diego) very early Thursday morning, and have just now had a chance to review things on DU and other sites.

You look very lovely and gorgeous in the picture, along with the other two lovely ladies. Lovely both on the outside and on the inside.

I admire and appreciate what Dennis is doing; I hope some real good comes out of it.

His wife Elizabeth is certainly lovely. I like tall women; I am a tall man myself. I feel happy for Dennis having a tall wife who loves him and respects him. Dennis being the good person he is, and doing the good things he is doing, certainly deserves to have a lovely woman for his wife.

I am very happy for you that you had the honor of Dennis staying with you.

I wish Dennis Kucinich was the rule rather than the exception for people in his position.

37. Aw thanks for dropping by Mike
Yea I can't begin to explain what it's like to spend a few days with my Superhero. In a relaxed atmosphere just chatting and laughing and watching. It was just so surreal to see him hanging out in the livingroom, and waking up for breakfast, Dennis Kucinich is there. Time for lunch, Dennis Kucinich is there. Dennis Kucinich needs to go somewhere, drive him there. Dinner time rolls around, Dennis Kucinich is there. Bedtime, say good night to Dennis Kucinich... Complete with g'nite hugs and a peck on the cheek.:wow: I'm still on cloud nine and I haven't quite wrapped my brain around it all yet.

Yea I'll have to call you soon and I'll tell ya more.
