Today on the View the Twit Elisabeth Hasslebrat shouted that Obama would double our taxes
among other things

She tried to bring up Rev. WRight, Rezco and a whole host of other things.

She also tried to say that she was tired of not having her first amendment rights to speak her mind because she didn't have the popular view..

ug I wanted to reach into my tv and slap the bitch

Bigger government, more regulation and public ownership of all the nations resources and well as it's infrastructure, i.e.; transportation, communication, education, utilities and health-care. These qualities used to be what made Canada special before she looked south and then went south, Viva Trudeau.

I want a populist government, a populist country and a populace with a populist mindframe, from cradle to grave.

We DVR'd it and just watched the opening segment. I saw the explosion of threads about the show today and couldn't wait to get home to watch, hedging any temptation to lick on any of them.

Our jaws hit the floor when she said, "Apparently, you can only have one opinion anymore."

She has NO opinion. She's a walking talking point, and I wish they would get someone on that show to set her straight with the lies and nonsense she's allowed to spew. She belongs on FOX, which we all know she'll end up once she's done spreading her propaganda on The View.

Obama and McCain Tax Proposals
According to a new analysis by the Tax Policy Center, a joint project of the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institution, Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain are both proposing tax plans that would result in cuts for most American families. Obama's plan gives the biggest cuts to those who make the least, while McCain would give the largest cuts to the very wealthy. For the approximately 147,000 families that make up the top 0.1 percent of the income scale, the difference between the two plans is stark. While McCain offers a $269,364 tax cut, Obama would raise their taxes, on average, by $701,885 - a difference of nearly $1 million.

It's such a great graphic!

50. funny, she didn't protect the left's right to free speech during
the 2001-2008 republication witch hunts of the left?

the right believes they can do anything to the left because we're too 'nice' to ever demand payback. Take away our right to free speech, ridicule us for opposing an invasion of Iraq, make things up about our patriotism, wiretap our phones, put our leaders in jail on false charges - no problem. When the left gets into power, they would demand justice. they'll just put things back to the way they were 'we can't be as bad as the repugs, can we?'. meanwhile the right mobilizes for another day to again take away all our rights.

sadly, in this case, the right knows us too well. we really need to demand justice.

They will not double.

I become tired of this tax debate every four years when it is proposed that taxes go up a little bit on the 2% of richest Americans, while 98% of people are going to get a tax cut. The corporate media spends 99% of the coverage on the debate talking about the tax increase on the wealthy, and 1% of their coverage goes to the tax cut that everybody else gets.
