Kudos to XM Radio America Left - NO LIONEL!!!!!!!!!!
Just got back from a weekend back home and it was sooooo nice listening to TYT and Stephanie in the morning. I do wish they had Thom on live and Ed on replay and I hate that Rachel Maddow's first hour is Race To The White House but I can now listen to Progressive Radio in the morning on XM again.

Big time improvement.

2. A huge improvement.
Lionel was on during my morning commute and I could stand only a few minutes of him at a time. What a pompous tool -- glad he's gone. Nice to listen to TYT instead.

4. I've never listened to Stephanie Miller before....
She's pretty cool. It might take a little getting used to her format and her guests/sidekicks.

7. But....but......he was so highly rated as an up-and-comer by "Talkers" magazine!!!
He is going to help save Air America, according to the Green brothers.

Gimme a break. :puke:

And just think... that shit-for-brains Green dumped the intelligent and sharp-witted Sam Seder for that unlistenable fount of craptacular talk radio "Lionel"..... :dunce:

I concur; a massive improvement.

10. Exactly.. I was a huge supporter of Air America
but they made some very bad decisions. Just glad that there's still NovaM and Jones Network so Progressive radio will have a voice.

5. Question about XM
I have Sirius where I get to listen to Sirius Left, but they have about 10 minutes of talk and 50 minutes of the WORST AM radio-style commercials every hour. It's intolerable. I PAY for Sirius so I don't have to listen to that shit. Is it like that on XM? My other Sirius stations are nothing like that. I get no commercials on the music stations.

6. XM is the same.
There are a lot of commercials on the talk channels, none on the music channels.

8. Well, one thing going for XM
You listeners to XM do not need to listen to the wimpy Alex Bennett or the racist, homophone Lynn Samuels. I cannot tolerate listening to anything on Sirius during the day other than the hour of Thom Hartman.

11. Won't matter soon, once the merger's complete

I'm guessing that we won't get BOTH their left-leaning channels, so there will be some "cutting"..wonder who gets the axe..

I'm also guessing that their PATRIOT :puke: and other right wingers will see their space expanding...

13. Right, Sirius will have have loads of right-wing republican assholes on multiple channels ........
Edited on Tue Aug-05-08 12:34 AM by GreenTea
but they'll probably only have only one progressive channel....Sirius is a lot more right-wing republican than XM is so don't expect much in the form of liberal radio if Sirius is making the decisions....unless people demand a couple of progressive channels from Sirius, not just one!

I do hope Lynn Samuels goes though!!
