OK, sports isn't Latest Breaking News. So are all Olympics posts to be relegated by mods to Sports?

Brett Favre parting ways with the Packers tonight was taken out of LBN. OK. Not a big deal. But I think the Mods have to figure out what is and isn't just Sports soon, as the Olympics are coming.

DU is not a sports friendly site, despite the undeniable influence of sports in our society (see Ali; Munich 1972). I don't really care which way it goes, whether it's the upcoming Olympics, college football, or the PGA, or what else. I would just like to know what we can post here. Seems to me there are some things coming up at least as important as the latest McCain gaffe. Would like some guidance.

My two cents. Fire away. Should some Olympics news be allowed on DU, or confined to Sports?
