The saddest part of the Anthrax case
is that the government has lost the trust of the people.

We know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that we have been lied to. Over and over again.

They have killed our trust and no matter what they say now, we know what the truth is.

2. I want to believe the FBI, but I can't. I hope the culprit was identified,
but I wonder about the FBI's internal delusions.

It is so hard for me to believe anything out of DC these days.

10. KO had an investigative reporter on tonight.
I only saw the first part of the show, but this guy was convinced that Ivins was a scapegoat. There was no direct evidence linking him, and the scientists all said that the flask of anthrax found in this man's possession had liquid, not powder anthrax. Said the motivation for him didn't make any real sense either.

4. They had to invent new DNA techniques to find out where the anthrax came
from and it could only have come from a single vial/beaker that Ivans had. He also tried to mislead the FBI on the origin of the anthrax. There is enough circumstantial evidence there that I believe it was him.

5. Good for you! Listen, I just got word that I won the lottery in the U.K.
Would you mind if I use your bank information to claim it?

8. I know you have been lied to so much by your government that it
physically hurts to believe them anymore. You will heal with an obama president. Trust me. You'll be able to believe in government again.

11. key word is "invent" - conveniently enough, they've not been published yet.
And they can't describe these techniques, when oddly enough, the anthrax genome was sequenced in 2003. And just where did the sample in that single flask originate? Spontaneous generation? And the military would keep an important strain of anthrax for over a decade in a SINGLE FLASK?

13. In liquid form no less
KO's guest, Gerald Posner, said he was told by experts he contacted that anthrax in liquid suspension is even more difficult to weaponize than regular strains (I assume it's normally stored in dry form?).

Posner also made the same comment about the new DNA test they created and used to determine the origin of the anthrax: the method remains unpublished.

12. 11 responses so far, and I'm the first rec? Unbelievable.
I have to agree, this may not be the case where America lost it's faith in the administrators of our government, but I have to agree with you it's just another example of how we simply don't trust or believe a damn thing they say.

If Dumbya were to guest on the Weather Channel and say it was daytime, I'd look for a second opinion.
