He was talking with the correspondent about the relay race yesterday and that if the American swimmer had fallen back into the pool, it would have disqualified the team from the gold medal. When I was a kid, I was the clipboard holder at a shot put ring during an invitational tournament and this really REALLY big guy put the shot a remarkable distance. He stared at it for a while and then walked out of the front of the circle to see the mark. I called a foul, since you have to leave by the rear half of the circle. His coach went nuts, but my coach stood by my ruling. I stayed away from that guy for the whole time - I thought he was going to kill me.
