It is my biggest fear that he'll try and like something like meth.

I tried it in the 60s

and found it useful for cleaning my flat after a week at work. Unfortunately, I only found it useful for a few weeks. Being totally paralyzed with exhaustion the following day was not worth it.

Most people who try it will walk away, just like they do with other drugs.

6. Meth is a bad drug. We knew that in the 60s, which is why

we all got the "speed kills" campaign going.

Those pictures weren't even the worst of it. As bad as it is for skin and hair, it is worst on the teeth. Whether through malnutrition or constant tooth grinding, meth heads generally wreck their teeth very quickly.

Speed freaks generally exist as living warnings for what that drug is all about. It's bad news.

I have to wonder, though, if the less destructive drugs were legal, would as many people still do this stuff?

It's a question that's well worth asking.

drink alcohol to excess, but it would be treated as a social problem instead of a crime.

I've seen the faces of meth...reasoned with them as hey tried to check AMA out of a hospital to get their fix.It is truly tragic.
