Okay, I think I understand now...
It's acceptable for a world leader to show up in an obvious stupor for all the world to see. It's acceptable for him to get stinking drunk on a regular basis for all the world to see.

It's acceptable for a Vice President to tell a U.S. Senator to go fuck himself. It's also acceptable for a Vice President to get drunk and accidentally shoot a man for getting in his way.

JUST DON"T CHEAT ON YOUR WIFE, THAT'S TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

Oh, wait, unless you're a "war hero", or if you praise jesus, then you can fuck around all you want with whomever you want.
