We, the undersigned members of Common Cause, request an appearance by Karl Rove before the House Judiciary Committee when the Congress reconvenes in September. We would like to book Mr. Rove for a few hours of questioning about his involvement in Justice Department scandals and the politically motivated prosecution of former governor Don Siegelman.

The Judiciary Committee and the American people deserve answers. We see that Mr. Rove has found the time to address the National Association of Convenience Stores, a Yahoo! conference and has made multiple appearances on Fox News. We believe it is time for him to comply with a congressional subpoena and book a date and time with the House Judiciary Committee.
