John Edwards had enough delusions of grandeur to try out for the Clemson football team
Since we've all known that for years is anyone really surprised at the recent revelations?

5. What, you upset that there are not enough threads disparaging Edwards
that you have to set up a new one?

17. What you are trying to do is desperately setting up as many threads bashing Edwards
as possible.

With everything else happening in the world to be commenting about, you are some sorry dude obsessively stuck on sniffing Edwards penis.

24. If I was gonna lie about something it wouldn't be something that you could easily contradict
All you'd have to do is post links to all the Edwards threads I've started.

Go ahead.

I dare you.

15. And he was delusional enough to actually get a " scholarship"
Edited on Wed Aug-13-08 05:17 PM by saracat
I don't understand sports but apparently they didn't use him enough or he wasn't fast enough or whatever they needed so he wasn't first tier or something and ended up losing the scholarship for not playing much. At least I think that was what I read. I may have forgotten something but he was indeed a football player, in high school and college. But he left Clemson because he couldn't afford to go without the scholarship. That was how he ended up at UNC, Chapel Hill.

18. Oh FFS
He finished undergrad at NC State

UNC Chapel Hill is where he went to law school.

And no, he never got a scholarship at Clemson. He was just a walk-on.

19. Uhm, he did make the team....

Though I don't think he was good enough for scholarship money, so he had to drop out for financial reasons.

25. Moonlight Graham made it onto the roster of the New York Giants
How would you rate his contributions to society as opposed to his brother Frank Porter Graham?

Tell the truth.

27. Frank Porter Graham was a very progressive Senator / Educator
He lost his Senate seat in 1950 in a very divisive, race-baiting race. One of his opponent's advisers was Jesse Helms and that's when Jesse learned that hatred wins elections.

Graham spent most of his professional life as the Chancellor at UNC, and is most responsible for giving that university a reputation of being a beacon of liberalism in an otherwise backward area.

Moonlight Graham is the real person that Burt Lancaster's Field of Dreams character was based on.
