1. Good stuff.
After Bush's mystery bulge, this sort of cheating's getting more attention, I think.

4. At the very least, the Big MSM isn't raving about how well Johnny Mac did
It changes the conversation in a positive way for us.

Was it a good story? What did they say?

9. The OP is wrong. They led with the tropical storm story.
I walked into the room a minute late and thought that I was on time.

My apologies.

11. With the McCain campaign chairman going after NBC, I doubt that
that network is going to be soft on McCain in the future. Why would NBC run scared? Keith surely did not. He made one of his famous commentaries on the situation and on McCain's own spurious assessments regarding the war on Iraq. If you did not see it, please watch when it comes up on DU...one of his best.

13. The Saddleback "conversation"
McCain and Obama invited to speak at a church on spiritual issues. Obama was chosen to go first, while McCain was supposed to be in a "Cone of Silence" (moderator's phrase). Actually, McCain wasn't even in the building yet. His answers later suggested that he'd heard, or at least been thoroughly briefed on every question before his turn came up.

Hence "Conegate".

14. ah! I see. I had heard that the candidates were not supposed to know the questions beforehand.
Disgusting. Why do people STILL insist that the Republicans have "values" or that the values they have are good ones?

15. Got me. So much evidence to the contrary.
But I do think there may be some hope with the young.

Now, if they would just VOTE . . .
