3. Heard her interviewed on Mitch Albom today.
Unfortunately, Mitch is in Beijing, so guest host and right-wing idiot Warren Pierce was doing the interview. He kept trying to get Helen to say that her favorite presidents were Dems. Helen was gracious and said all were her favorites. He then tried to get her to say something bad about Nixon. Helen used the word tragic, then said he kept making the wrong choices. Then, after playing a clip of Helen asking boosh why we went to Iraq and asking Helen if she felt "intimidated" doing that, Helen responded by saying that many reporters were afraid they would be labeled "unpatriotic" if they asked the hard questions. Then something wonderful happened: Helen said "Many in the media were for the war at the time, including you, Warren." I have never heard such a stuttering, fumbling, "who, me?" reply. He sounded like Ralph Cramden. "When did we ever have a conversation?.....wa..wea...uh...wah....wah..well, uh..."
Helen rocks.
