Hillary is Fox News' new best friend.
Edited on Sun Aug-24-08 07:13 PM by Naturyl
Note: This thread is NOT intended to bash Senator Clinton or her supporters. Instead, I just want to point out how strange and bizarre it is to see Fox News suddenly promoting Hillary.

Undoubtedly they are well aware of the ill-conceived "PUMA" movement and orders have been issued to encourage it as much as possible, despite Clinton's calls for unity. This is their backdoor way of working for McCain without directly promoting him. It's brilliant, in a Machiavellian way.

What do you think? Have others noticed a sudden enthusiasm for Hillary on Fox News?

3. I think it is great. Let faux, cnn, and the mccain campaign waste their money on trying to divide
There is no way any REAL Clinton supporter will vote for mccain

They know where mccain stands on gender rights, civil rights, medicare, social security, healthcare, the war, and so many other issues that will affect them

They are throwing their money away

and I say good

11. I am sure. harriet christian has major mental issues, and does not represent
the Clinton voters

The Clinton voters know that the worst thing for gender rights is the bush/mccain policies, except for a few nut cases, it won't happen

I also suspect that if Obama wins, and a seat on the Supreme Court becomes available, Hillary will be chosen

The media are going to be wrong again about this, the Democratic party will never be MORE united than this time

4. The plan has always been to defeat Obama
and blame Hillary.

From DAY ONE.

5. Yeah, it sounds very plausible.
Two birds with one stone... I bet you're right.

Sad that a lot of people seem to be playing right into it.

12. Just wait until the convention, the Democrats ARE NOT playing into it
in fact this will get more viewers watching the Convention, where the Democrats will not only show how unified they are, but also have the air time to show why we cannot afford 4 more years of bush/mccain policy

6. HIllary is going to tell them all that the last thing she needs
is JOhn McCain, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Rielly fighting her battles. I bet she tells em to stuff up their nether regions.

7. Has Hillary clearly and publicly separated herself from the PUMA bunch?
If not, she needs to do so loud and clear -- on Fox and everywhere else. Hopefully she will use her time at the DNC to do that. If not, she will lose the support of a lot of Democrats like me who supported neither Hillary nor Obama but want a good Democrat to win. She will no longer qualify as a "good Democrat" for future consideration in my view. That's sad. In spite of everything, I have always viewed the Clintons as loyal Democrats (DLC but still basically loyal Democrats).

Hillary needs to think hard about her choices on this. A lot of people will remember her as disloyal for a long time if she does not absolutely renounce PUMA or any other anti-Obama movement.

9. i know exactly how you feel.
i loved bill clinton and now i can't stand him. i was never crazy about hillary, but would have supported her 100% if she were the nominee. after she said 3x that McCain was ready to be commander in chief, i completely lost respect for her. i will never trust her or bill again.

14. My sentiments exactly
Hard to trust them now, but maybe they (or at least she) will take the high road and not flush what's left of our democracy.

10. Excellent point.
Remind the PUMAs PUBLICLY that Obama is the candidate and withholding support is anti-Democratic.

Even if it's a Republicon front organization, it will become instantly useless.

13. Just wait until the convention. Both the Obama and the Clinton camp are playing the media
to get more viewers to watch

Not only will we be united, but the issues why we can't afford anymore of the bush/mccain policies will be made very clear, with MILLIONS of viewers watching

18. And this post is NOT intended to bash Senator Clinton or her supporters either...
I think the Republics are a bit more worried than they were two days ago. They were hoping that Hillary was on the ticket, which would energize them to get out the vote. McCain sure can't do it. And, I don't think he can pick a running mate that will get them
all excited either. He was moaning about Hillary not being on the ticket also.

Now they are using Hillary the only way they can, painting themselves as the party that is more "loyal" to each other. They are preaching to the choir...won't make one bit of difference.

19. I don't know about the media and Clinton...
Love/Hate Relationship maybe? Lots of strange goings on in this Primary season, but the latest is to me, the least believable. It reminds me of the Brooks Brothers Riot.
