3. I've got it on but with the sound off
I usually like the opening ceremonies, but never really gotten into the closing ceremonies. I like all the anticipation of the opening :)

14. The music and the human geometry are impressive in their execution
but honestly, it's not adding up to anything meaningfull. I mean, there don't seem to be many symbols that mean much. Drums. Circles. Flying people. Flying drums. Pretty lights.

No story or continuity. Not sure when it will end because it's just a series of movements.

Oh, well. Here come the athletes.

5. Closing Ceremony - What closing ceremony?
If you mean the gong show on NBC. It's on but I am not watching.

That is why I am sitting here conversing with the rest of the geeks.

6. No, I didn't watch the opening ceremony either. Actually I watched none of it.
However, from my house I can see the fireworks after my local minor league baseball team wins a game. I find that more interesting than the olympics.

11. LOL.
It was a fantastic show, esp. the synchronized acrobatics.

And Led Zep in Beijing? That was a LOL moment.

They act like its live right now. What a crock. It's 12 hours old.

20. Really wierd arrangements of all the national anthems.
Ok. I'm a musician. But, these new harmonies obscure the melodies. "God Save The Queen" just sounded more like Debussey than a brit soccer drinking song.

But the chinese children's choir is fantastic. What a sound!

23. just amazing - the timings - the large groups and synchronization
of all the people - just awesome

It appears the people of these countries are amazing ALL countries

the negative is just like our own country -we have poor management leaders same as many other countries around the world and we need to change the leadership everywhere - they cause the problems most - except fanaticals - not sure what to do about them
