No time for panic just yet
but if you live on the Gulf Coast, it's time to update your emergency plan. Go to the link and hit the "Fwd" button toward the bottom.

1. That does not look good.
I was in the Gulfport/Picayune area two days after Katrina blew through. We working working our butts off for 16-20 hours a day for two straight months. I hope the course of this storm changes.

8. GOM = Gulf of Mexico
I just looked at some of the other computer models and none of them are developing 94L anywhere near as intensely as the GFDL is. Some don't develop it at all...but I think that's likely to change. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what the computers spit out once a closed low is found.

I'm packing my panic away again for the time being. Thanks for the

9. The only thing I haven't been through is a tornado
Although I see hurricanes as ginormous tornadoes....

I'd take living in earthquake country again to living in 'cane alley. At least with earthquakes you aren't given time to worry. They just happen. Life is much simpler!
