Here, incidentally, is my ONE house as I tried to get packed and get on the road to Denver. If it looks like the cats are trying to help me get on the road, you are reading the scene wrong. Picked up a copy of the Denver "independent weekly," Westword last night and there is an article on the different types of protesters they were expecting here. A bit stereotyping, I thought, and not as funny as they think it is, but, still, had some insight. Here's how they had listed, along with cartoon images: Anarchist, angry Hillaryite, barnacle protester (off-message), nostalgic hippie, anti-abotionists, 9/11 truthers, upper-middle-class radicals (yipe, I think I've been typed), immigrant rights, anti-immigrant, and street theater weirdos (weirdos?). If you are out on the street here, the article said that an anti-racial profiling statute in Colorado from 2001 (I remember this) calls for police officers to provide a "business card" with name and badge number to persons they detain, but don't cite or arrest. But you have to know to ask for the card, they point out.
