Anybody who objects to their personal details going on the new "Big Brother" ID cards database will be banned from having a passport.

James Hall, the official in charge of the supposedly-voluntary scheme, said the Government would allow people to opt out - but in return they must "forgo the ability" to have a travel document.

With one in every eight people saying they will refuse to sign-up, up to five million adults could effectively be refused permission to leave the country.

Campaigners reacted to Mr Hall's remarks with fury, saying they were yet more evidence of the lurch towards "Big Brother" Britain.

2. The EU
is tryying to ban communist parties now as well. Most of Eastern Europe has already done so. They want NO CHALLENGES to the economic order. The Patriot Act will not be repealed without massive efforts on our part. The New World Order of free market capitalism is being set up...things will get interesting if Latin America doesn't play ball..

There's a version that is legit, and the other that's a sham...

5. no there isn't
its all a sham. We have already tried regulated capitalism and it has failed all over the globe..the market crashes or the greed takes over..one of the two. That is like saying there are legit monarchies, legit slavery, or legit fuedalism..capitalism is a once useful but now outmoded system. The capitalists at the top will always do whatever it takes to enhance profit no matter who they have to crush..that is the goal of capitalism..to create capital. WE have created plenty, but only a few people get to keep it. (just a hint, it isn't the workers.)
