I spent most of Mon and Tues screaming at Gibson/Stephanopolous/Sawyer. Last night, I turned on CSPAN when I got home and kept it there. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.

6. I watched most of the convention on c-span,

but once in a while I just had to peek at cnn. It is like picking a scab or rubber necking a car accident. You do it even though you know it is not a good idea. It is not what we at DU watch, because we know better, we seek out, research and verify sources. But most people get their news from the boob tube. We need those people to have real and important information about the candidates, not just the neocon talking points pushed by the networks. If we stop paying Comcast and the Dish Network and others, who carry their broadcasts, believe me, we could force a change. If we could get organized and hook up with established organizations to even threaten, on a massive scale, a boycott, We would be heard. Just 10,000 people at an average of $100 per month is $1,000,000. I think with the right petition apparatus, we could even get more people than that. But we would have to do it quickly, because we only have until Nov. to get the truths told.
