I don't get it (unless there's a NASCAR theme there...)

These are wierd names to give your kids unless you really want them to be beaten up at school by your school bully.

1. Unusal names are the fade now at days. I have friends who have
Kids.

One couple name their son Bevis

I have another friend named her Twins Elphaba and Glinda.

Another couple names their kids:

Twilight, Cayman, and Anakin.

15. They're a fad now, eh?
And people used to whine about how some black families named their kids.

2. THANK YOU. Great names for the rescue dog in your life. I had a dog named Trap
is that one of theirs?

3. If you make fun of their names, you're required to make fun of Barack Obama's name.
But I actually wondered, too, if there was theme to Palin's kids' names. Piper is a plane. Willow is a tree, but I thought I read it was a race track or something, too. Track = race track. Trig is trigger? Of a gun? And Bristol from Harvey Bristol Cream? Maybe she likes sherry.

5. It just seems cruel to do that to your kid...
Most guys want to be named Mike or John or Bill or somesuch not "Track"...

Most girls want to be named Julia or Sarah or Anna etc. not "Bristol"...

It's just cruel...

7. If that was the cruelest thing she did, I wouldn't give a shit. She's much, much crueler than that.

4. Parents usually pay a price for stupid names.
For instance after being given a questionable name and no guidance on birth control, the Republican VP nominee's teenage, unmarried daughter had sex and got knocked up.

Poor kid never had a chance. Bad mother.

6. I've heard two different explanations: 1. Names are related to Alaska
(Bristol bay, Piper planes, etc). And 2. Names are after their favorite sled dogs.

I'm betting #1 is probably more correct.

11. Willow is a tree. Track, I think, not Trap.
And trig? Dunno about that one. Maybe it was the one math she flunked or something.

12. Going against the grain?
To conform to the maverick mentality Is my guess... fits into the framework... its scary when thinking about foreign affairs... and how going against the grain on that one would pan out.
