"..."no sense of panic" in the campaign "over the love child issue,"
It just doesn't get any better than this...:)

Who would have thought this would be the topic of boring old McBlunder's campaign..

I DO have to give it to him.. He's made it highly entertaining..Thanks also to Mrs Moose, for being such a ditz..

A normal Mom would have SHUNNED the national spotlight at such a time , but her craven ambition overruled any decency.

But hey, it's quite entertaining. and it's a geography/civics lesson ..Probably a lot more people now know where Alaska is, and are learning more every day :)

'Love Child' Query Rebuked by McCain Camp

ABC News' Teddy Davis and Arnab Datta Report: John McCain's top policy adviser rebuked a reporter on Monday for asking if there was "no sense of panic" in the campaign "over the love child issue," a reference to the announcement made earlier in the day that the 17-year old daughter of McCain's running mate is five-months pregnant and planning to marry the father.

"All kidding aside -- a little respect. I mean 'love child' issue? I mean this is a young woman," said McCain adviser Douglas Holtz-Eakin, referring to Bristol Palin, the daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R). "She is 17-years old, and I believe that treating it with a little bit of respect is appropriate."

"This is the governor's daughter," he continued. "It is their issue. It is something that we believe should be treated with a lot of respect. This is clearly something that we have a lot of concern about: the future of this young lady. She's a wonderful woman. From the campaign's perspective, we have an outstanding candidate who is a governor and she has a family. She loves that family, and this is their business.

3. Loves Her Family?
If Palin sincerely loved her family she would have turned down this nomination in order that her 17 year old daughter would ot be subjected to this. Instead, she let her ambition and thirst for power override any consideration for her daughter.
McCain and Palin deserve to be criticized for letting this 17 year old woman go through this. Palin's daughter did not ask for this. If Palin turned the nomination down, the daughter would not have had to go through this.

6. They are preparing the ground for Palin's withdrawl with this language
They are preparing the ground for Palin's withdrawl with this language:

"This is the governor's daughter," he continued. "It is their issue. It is something that we believe should be treated with a lot of respect."

By making it "Palin's issue", then they can put it all on Palin when she withdraws. McCain will say that he "respects" her decision, despite the bootprint on her rear.
