Yeah, the over the top militarism is essential to the fascist conversion. They must be proof positive that the truth of McCain's "heroism" will never be told.

he'd be a POW *hero*. He didn't. He started cooperating after a couple of days, IIRC-- and got a lot of preferential treatment because as the son of an admiral, he was valuable. But McCain shouldn't have been in that position to begin with, and wouldn't have been if his father's status hadn't secured a pilot position for him when he couldn't earn it.

POW survivor, yes. But POW *hero*?

8. I don't know. Apparently some of the other POWs that were present

during McCain's incarceration say he was never tortured at all, and that he just told them what they wanted to know immediately.
