Does Sarah Palin know how many countries she has visited?
Submitted by Chad on Wed, 09/03/2008 - 10:59am

... Palin also reportedly got her first passport in 2007, and she said she has been to Germany, Kuwait, and Ireland. (Until recently, going to Canada didn't require a passport.) But the Ireland visit was a refueling stop. That inaccuracy is bad enough, but we also have to get a correction from a Palin spokesman that she has visited Canada ...

... it proves John McCain and Sarah Palin are made for each other: McCain doesn't know how many houses he owns and Palin doesn't know how many countries she has been to.

3. Well, we know she's been to Pennsylvania. That's a different country to her.

4. So I was actually in Germany last year
even though I only changed planes there (my luggage spent a couple days there, though). And I flew over Iceland and Greenland - do those count?

As for Canada: I grew up along the US/Canada border, and most people in the area didn't really think of it as another country. Until recently, visiting Canada and returning didn't require a passport for US citizens.
