Pat Buchanon was a huge ass last night on Rachel's show
I know calling him an ass is redundant but the way he stood up for Palin made me ill. Why isn't he on Fox Noise where he belongs?

1. I was disgusted by him. I hope she has the good sense to dump him
I have no idea why anyone has that windbag on their show, but for him to shit on her during her very first show as a simple insult and something not to be tolerated.

I wanted to reach through my hotel TV screen and throttle him.

10. I don't know that she has a choice, Pat is MSNBC's republican political analyst
I must admit, when it is doing strictly political analyzing, I think his knowledge is quite informed and insightful. His problem is that he puts mega-spin into the analysis.

12. I'll bet she had Buchanan on to attract some share of the Homelander audience
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 07:07 AM by SpiralHawk
If she's just way to the left, Homelanders will pay her no attention. But if she can hook some of them in by featuring some prominent republicon propagandists, and debating them, her audience may grow in span and influence. Some Homelanders may remember that they actually live in America.

39. But she's not way to the left at all.

When did telling the truth become being "left"? All of MSNBC is centrist, not left.

Let's not buy into the right wing framing of this. The left does not get onto corporate TV. When is the last time you saw Chomsky on TV?

How dare you bring that on this show! I looked away for a second and did not hear the rest I was saying to partner I hope she tosses him off...and then he was slouching away...

6. I enjoyed watching him cry.
Rachel knew he'd come on and cry about how the poor little Mooselini was being attacked by the media.

I loved his pronunciation of the popular Intertubes site "Daily Koss."

She can handle the winger t-points

She's got the final word

34. Yes, having Rachel dispute all the talking point on prime time M$M is perfect
And I don't hate Pat Buchanan as much I do most other RWNs. At least he had the honesty after the 2000 election to say he did not believe all the votes that registered for him in Palm Beach County were meant for him. And he had the honesty to admire Obama's acceptance speech at the DNC Convention.

Pat may have shit for political opinions but I do think he is consistent and honest in his beliefs. Gotta admire him for that even if I hate what he believes.

He was extremely disrespectful, almost yelling at Rachel. If I were her, hell would freeze over before he was ask to be on her show again. Spot on... he is Fox material.

she's got skills to put argue with him and get the point across.

when he brought up the Rev Right thing she said something like (not exact quote)..."funny you bring that up when trying to say Palin is being trashed" HA!

Rachel totally called him out on his lies, and he just tried to bully his way out by talking over her! Yeah, Nazi...you really add a lot to the show!

23. 1. whined about unfair liberal media beating up saintly Sarah Palin
2. Called the Obama's church "racist"

3. mispronounced DailyKos ("Koss.")

Oh, and he probably doesn't get the title of his own segment, which is funny as hell: It's Pat

Oh, and her evening radio show's every bit as great as was her morning show, although I have to wonder how much attention she'll be able to pay to it with the increased TV-machine workload.

I suspect that they're still playing a lot by ear, to keep what works and lose what doesn't.

29. pretty even really
I thought it came out pretty even really. I wonder if people want to play the religion card with Palin as KO and Rachel did, if it opens the door for all of the old questions about Rev. Wright and others again. And hey new show, more makeup at least on her eyes anyway.

is 'biased.' If you're willing to let Adolf Buchanan appear, no one can say that you aren't giving 'the other side' fair time.

Still, I would like to see Rachel punch him in the face one of these days. ;)
