.......away from MSNBC over the recent demotion....said he's heard of plans that Keith will open with a SPECIAL COMMENT tomorrow night(Wendsday) MALLOY believes that Keith is ready to walk and may do it at the end of his comments.......I hope not!!!!!


Also said COMCAST has plans to block KO nationwide as well.

Listening to him is like being on a roller coaster ride, it's cathartic fun, but I can't do it all the time. And you really can't take it too seriously. There's skeptical, there's cynical, there's bleakly pessimistic, and then there's Malloy.

Last night he was saying stuff like how Obama is going to lose by 48 states. He was making some decent points about a lack of aggressive response and playing too nice, and not really getting it that Republicans are pure streetfighting evil, but sandwiched in there would be absurd comments like the one above.

I don't really see any content in there which could be read one way or the other about his own intentions.

And to clarify, Mike didn't say Keith was going to "walk" tomorrow or anything of that sort. Just that MSNGE has definitely taken an extreme right turn, and that they would probably fire him soon, the way things were going.

Pay no attention to the Malloy bashers from DLC central casting. They don't know what they're talking about.

Comcast could conceivably stop carrying MSNBC, although I don't think they will. They could, theoretically, "lose" the signal for a specific episode of Keith. But does Malloy think they are going to block the signal every night at 8:00, 10:00 and 2:00? That's just silly.

23. Comcast (and presumably all cable companies) do block programming on occasion.

Though the circumstances of blocking a news show for blatantly political reasons would certainly stick out like a sore thumb.

An example of how they have used this in the past would be in a northern border state where Comcast carries a Canadian channel, which showed re-runs of "The Simpsons" in the late afternoon, while the local affiliate shows it early evening, and Comcast would block out the Canadian channel for that time period, presumably because the US affiliate would complain about "losing their audience to the Hosers".

Which sounds just about as ridiculous and petty as doing it for political reasons, when you think about it. But there is a precedent for it.

you have to be intelligent enough to understand him. He's kind of like a hippy dad. Funny, smart and the fun of the party but you have to be on your game to catch him. He'll admit when he has it wrong but he'll never budge on his convictions. Gotta love a guy like that. He's Awesome.


We are all living through really effed up times and we all deal with it in our own ways. Sometimes Mike does it by screaming at everyone, like we would all like to do. If you can handle him it's like therapy.

I start my day off each day with the previous night's podcast. I get more catharsis from listening to Mike tnan any of the hosts I listen to. I love Stephanie, Randi, Hartman, etc, who are all great in their own way. But there are times when I need to hear someone scream the things that I want to scream.

only allowing Olberman and Maddow because they want to create the illusion that they are 'fair and balanced'. Never trust GE. But support Olberman and Maddow.

Never forget that they were the ones that created msnbc for the purpose of creating a venue for the right wing message.

This is a phenonemena to Dems, but it's actually a calculated move on their part - someone gave permission to Olberman to do his thing.

If they lost money or ratings - Olberman wouldn't be there. It's too early to say how long Maddow will be around. If MSNBC took him off the convention because of complaints for the public or sponsors, who knows what they will do after the election if McCain wins. If Obama wins they are in the lead against the other networks with O & M.
