I've seen it many times...a politician can weather a scandal if it's localized...say if it were just Troopergate or even the personal stuff...but when there's more revlations of incompetence and arrogance, that isn't as easily papered over. Look how Gramps got stuck in his house fiasco...Grandma's bright shine gets a little more tarnished with each new revelation and keeps Camp Gramps on the defensive. The Obama campaign doesn't need to do this...but we can sure help move the word along. The GOOP has always relied on their whispers via hate radio, we can do the same via websites...our way to fight back.
