Connecticut Dems seek censure of Joe Lieberman
Two Democrats Circulate Resolution Seeking 'Censure' Of Lieberman
By MARK PAZNIOKAS | Courant Staff Writer
September 10, 2008

The political storm around Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman's speech to the Republican National Convention continued to spin off squalls Tuesday in Washington and Connecticut.

In Connecticut, two Democrats circulated a resolution urging the state party to censure Lieberman and seek his resignation as a registered Democrat.

The resolution stopped short, however, of a more significant demand for Lieberman's resignation from the Senate caucus, a move that could cost Democrats their one-vote majority.

Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada quickly shot down a story that he had barred Lieberman from the weekly Democratic caucus lunches
