If you believe you have MySpace photos of Bristol Palin drinking, and the girl therein looks nothing like her: you don't. They're photos of her future sister-in-law.

If you believe you are doing good by posting these photos prima facie, without bothering to do a cursory search to determine either their veracity or their current ubiquity on DU: you aren't.

I remember (vaguely) Stevenson vs Ike, and more specifically every campaign since. I have yet to see one that qualified as decorous or dignified.

At least this one has some truly comic elements among the usual blather.

Hell, the politicians dote on "gotchya" politics, when not busy pandering and "nuancing" their statements.

It's highly unlikely that political junkies are going give up indulging in the same thing.

I've pretty much lost interest in the election except for the (small) entertainment value and comical antics of the candidates and their supporters. The Republicans have shown their unmatched mastery of that aspect of the campaign.

I really thought they couldn't possibly top Dubya for the sheer hilarity of picking the least qualified candidate for anything. But, I thought that Reagan was going to be the champ in Boobsmanship for eternity.

The Democrats, as usual, have settled for pablum.
