I think we need to reconsider McCain's role in the Abramhoff scandal

On the stump, Sen. John McCain often cites his work tackling the excesses of disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff as evidence of his sturdy ethical compass.

A little-known document, however, shows that McCain may have taken steps to protect his Republican colleagues from the scope of his investigation.

Specifically, I know he was head of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee and he suppressed the release of thousands and thousands of documents related to this investigation. (So much for transparency)

Whoever is the new Democratic head of this committee now - why do they not take steps to release those thousands of documents that McCain supressed?

Heather Wilson, Randy Scheunemann, both who manage to wangle their way back to McBush, involved in Abramoff. I think McBush would resign in shame if this was ever busted open.

Today, I saw a youtube clip with Wesley Clark Jr.(son) calling McCain crooked. Maybe he said corrupt, I forget.

Anyhow, reviewing the Keating Five mess couldn't be happy making for McCain supporters.

I think it would be a good move on their part to release the supressed documents. And if there are any Dems involved, too f!@#king bad.

But actually, the Abramhoff affair is an almost exclusively Republican scandal.
