How do people make YouTube ads? Does someone have to have any special equipment?

Video Wave, part of Easy Media Creator
Adobe Audition for editing sound files

That will usually get me what I want. If you have DVD-R drive and a fairly recent computer, you probably have some program which came loaded on it from the factory. InterVideo programs came on my Thinkpad.
