The latest fad sweeping the world...
Edited on Wed Sep-24-08 03:30 PM by SlipperySlope
Have you heard about the latest fad trend now sweeping the world? It started last year and just keeps growing!

It's called "I want my money!" and is all done in great fun. To play, all you have to do is go to your bank and try to take out your money.

Here's some pictures from the latest matches:

Northern Rock Bank, Birmingham England:

IndyMac Bank, Los Angeles California:

Bank of East Asia, Hong Kong:

What exciting times we live in. This new fad sure beats goldfish swallowing and flagpole sitting!

4. Afraid not. You've got to have money IN the bank to be eligible.

6. Watch Kanjorski's questioning of Paulson and Bernanke
I got the impression that computerized programs have been taking money out of money market accounts.

7. Taking money out...
Taking money out of one place means putting it into another.

So where does the Money Market money go?

Not to retail banks, they are pleading for capital. It is going to the Treasury if people are wise, or back to Japan from whence the carry trade brought it.
