Whats the fuel situation where you live?
Prices are lowish here (amazing when you call $3.65 low) and we aren't running out in Madison WI. But I hear places are running out around the country.

2. I use premium in my BMW and they were out at two local stations yesterday.
One station had only regular--no mid-grade either.

26. Yep it's the Southeast
that gets shorted whenever those Gulf Coast refineries shut down.

Maybe this'll make a few ex-Republicans out of some Southerners.

4. ATL -- over $4.00 and scarce
Atlanta, Ga. Long lines. Stations with empty tanks. People having trouble getting to work.

24. Agreed - tough in the ATL
had to wait in my first (and surely not to be my last) gas line last night. Paid $4 a gallon for 87 octane too.

5. Pretty bad in Atlanta & N. Ga. Most stations don't have ANY gas,
a few had deisel only, and I saw 2 who had Premium oonly at $4.49. I heard on the local news last night that a few stations in Atl. that had gas were only letting customers buy 10-12 gal. I missed the very first part of that rationing story, but I got the impression that those few stations had gotten a delivery yesterday and they were rationing it so they could serve more people.

and all the stations are bone dry here and in Marietta. If you use diesel, you will have no problem. All the stations had diesel available. Yesterday, I saw a tanker at a Citgo near my house and thought I would stop there in the morning. But at 6 a.m., they were out of gas. Luckily, I have a half a tank. I'm hoping I can get gas this weekend.

17. I'm in Flowery Branch, just south of Gainesville. One station near our
house had reg. gas, but the lines were sooo long and it's a small station with only 3 pumps per gas type. We waited about 30 mins. and when nothing was even moving, we pulled out and came home. We're fine so far because we have 2 cars, one with 3/4 of a tank and 1 with about 1/2 a tank. We were only in line to buy 2 gal. for our lawn tractor because IT was on fumes and the darn grass was beginning to look like a field! We found a station in Buford that only had Premium, and since we were only buying 2 gal. we decided to give the Mower a treat! ;O)

6. Limits $20 per customer,
cash only (no credit cards) at most stations, reg unleaded only.

Prices ranging from 3.85 - 3.99 in about a 30-mile radius.

I am in SW Ga for my mom this week. (Carter country - yes!)

8. Fine in terms of supply
But not price. I'm in the UK and currently diesel for my Jeep Patriot is what you'd call $7.86 for one of your smaller gallons.

12. No problems here with diesel . SW Nebraska panhandle
It has gone up from $3.83 to $3.98. I don't have a gas vehicle so don't pay attention to gas prices but there is no problem getting it here.

15. Nashville was hit hard the last two weekends...
85% of stations in Metro Davidson County without fuel. Those that had it were running around $4.00 a gallon. It appears that enough shipments have arrived and almost all stations have a supply now. Panic really took over and the media fanned the flames. It also happened that stations were switching from 'summer' fuel (less pollutants per the EPA) to 'winter' fuel, so that didn't help either!

It was really weird for a week or two.

:wtf:

18. North central NM here and gas is plentiful and the price is going down
which hardly indicates any sort of a problem. We get our gas from Houston, too.

A lot of the areas that seem to have the shortage--mostly in Dixie, which the GOP is desperate to keep--get their gas out of New Jersey.

Don't fall for it, folks. This is a manipulated, fake shortage targeted to one specific region of the country.

Oh, and the word is that the refineries will be up and running next month. Uh huh. Like they were down and didn't have reserves? Give me a break.

25. I am starting a job which requires delivering with my own car
on Monday. There haven't been fuel shortages where I live and there haven't been price spikes, but if there are, I am screwed. Sometimes I go to a gas station and half the pumps have bags over them. They don't stop you from filling up though, so I don't know what it means.
